HEALTH - About one out of three couples who have problems with fertility trace the origin of the problem is the quality of cement. For that, the men were given a suggestion to produce healthy sperm. Among them, eat healthy, normal weight, avoiding alcohol and cigarettes, away from drugs such as blood pressure and depression.

Researchers who published research in the journal Reproduction find another lifestyle change that is not less important. Sport also helps improve sperm quality.

In the study, Behzad Maleki of the Justus-Liebig University Germany, and colleagues recruited 280 sedentary middle-aged men and randomly assigned to one of three exercise or no exercise. They were followed for six months.

Researchers wanted to see the different effects of each type of sport and intensity of activity on the quality and quantity of sperm.

One group that is exercising with moderate levels of walking or jogging on a treadmill. The second group did the same protocol with a higher intensity. The third group of high-intensity exercise on a treadmill with a short interval.

Compared with the control group who did not exercise, all the men who carry out physical activity program showed improvements vary the size of sperm.

After six months, they showed less DNA damage, sperm shape a healthier and levels of the stress factors of metabolic lower. They also showed a higher amount of sperm precursor.

"This research according to which we think about the effects of exercise," says Dr. Peter Schlegel, vice president of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and chairman of urology at New York Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center.

"But this study proves the better," he continued. He noted previous studies did not randomly assign people to the sport, and compare the results with sperm quality. Other research only examined the sperm in men who reported that they usually sport.

In this new study of men with moderate exercise intensity, the most well proven to show improvement compared to men of the two groups of intensive exercise.

Unclear why, part of the reason may be related to the fact the extreme sports that actually creates body heat is not good for sperm health.

For marathon athletes or those who train intensively, looking for a way to channel the heat energy is a major concern.

Schlegel also said that regular exercise can improve blood circulation and make blood vessels more healthy and so beneficial to the testicles, organs that are sensitive and need good blood flow.

Sports in general also helpful to improve reproductive health since the men who exercise lost weight, lowering body fat levels and improve their fitness levels.

Fat tissue is associated with metabolic stress compound content is higher. Therefore, to lose weight and become more fit may create more comfortable conditions for sperm and improve the quality and volume.

There are many reasons to exercise. Now the man who wanted to have children it's good to wake up in the morning and exercise.
