HEALTH - The more healthy people who suffer from high blood pressure but not detected, a study in the American Heart Association journal Circulation warned.
Researchers from Stony Brook and Columbia University analyzed 888 people with normal blood pressure remarks. However, when the researchers performed a blood pressure monitoring for 24 hours, nearly 20 percent of participants were suffering from high blood pressure.
The findings showed that the 24-hour monitoring is more effective than pressure checks are carried out on the spot at the hospital.
This is known as masked hypertension, ie when a person has healthy blood pressure test results in the presence of a doctor, but to show the different blood pressure at other times, such as evenings.
Interestingly, the greatest risk of undetected hypertension is experienced by young people, especially men.

Fortunately, hypertension can be easily treated with lifestyle changes. Selection of healthy diet and exercise routine can drastically reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and dementia.
But because of high blood pressure has so few symptoms, many do not know until they feel pain.
