HEALTH - When you cook too much, or the feast lot left over, there are some foods that could be stored and eaten on the next day, and some are better spent right away or forced discarded.

"The bacteria that cause the disease can grow in certain foods within two hours at room temperature," said Jacqueline Gomes, a registered dietitian in New Jersey told FoxNews. "As a fruit or vegetable salad, and all forms of processed vegetables, good finish soon."

Gomes stressed, let processed fruits and vegetables at room temperature for hours, it can increase the number of bacteria.

When these preparations are stored for the next day, in addition to nutrients disappear, vegetables and fruit contaminated with bacteria can cause illness due to contaminated food, such as nausea, diarrhea, and even food poisoning.

Gomes said that, in addition to processed fruits and vegetables, you can store other leftovers. However, each type of food has a time limit, namely:

- Processed meat and fish: a maximum of 2 days in the refrigerator.

- Processed Eggs: 3 days in the refrigerator.

- Processed seafood: 2 days in refrigerator.

- Hard cheese: 3-4 weeks in the refrigerator.
